ABOUT ME

Zealand Despain is Director/Writer/Producer/Cinematographer. He has been making shorts since the 6th grade, and loves everything about the filmmaking process. He apprenticed as a filmmaker for Spyhop and is a certified PA in the state of Utah. He is currently studying Digital Cinema Production at UVU with an emphasis on directing. Zealand enjoys all genres of film, but his favorite is action comedy. Zealand has Autism Spectrum Disorder, but he won’t let that prevent him from achieving his ultimate goals, which are to make wide-release films for A24, 87 North Productions, and eventually big-budget Hollywood blockbusters.
Zealand also loves axe throwing and eating delicious pumpkin cookies.
